These study links will be due to Mrs. Pennington (grade 4 math) or Mrs. Humphrey (grade 5 math) the day after they are assigned. All OTHER homework (Language Arts, Science, Social Studies assignments, etc…) are due on Friday. COWS (Challenges of the Week) are assigned by Mrs. Glynn and are optional. Due dates are noted on these COW papers. All students are encouraged to TRY. Even if you complete only SOME of the problems given, hand it in. Show your best effort. End of Year Events

Lots of great activities are planned for the end of this school year!bsktballJune 2-Field day 9am-11:45 Wear sunscreen, comfortable sneakers & bring an extra DRY set of clothes. (An extra plastic baggy to carry wet clothes would be great.)

June 3-6th grade team leaders come to talk with 5th graders at 12:40

June 6-Raindate for field day

June 7-Field trip to Cape Porpoise Islands-wear sunscreen & mud boots or closed toed shoes that you don’t mind getting trashed. :)   No flip flops please.

June 8-Marine Animal Research Center from UNE will visit with their “touch tank.”

June 9-Field trip to Rugosa Lobster boat (in the am). We’ll return at 11:30. Then, 5th graders only leave for 5th grade celebration at 11:45. They’ll return to school at 5pm for the cookout. Families are invited to attend. Volunteers needed for the afternoon & evening. Contact Susan Colinet if interested. See email from 6/1 for her contact info.

June 10-last Friday Morning meeting. Come on out!

June 13-Last day of regular classes.

Make sure to wear your SNEAKERS on MONDAYS. It’s gym day! Be prepared with winter gear & boots in case it’s a snow shoeing day.

Also, BRING INSTRUMENTS EVERY MONDAY. It’s BAND day!

***CALLING ALL ART SHIRTS- Thursday is art day. Do you have your art shirt at school? If not, please bring one in. These are to be left in the classroom.

Note: As math homework is linked closely to class lessons, assignments will be given most nights Monday thru Thursday. These study links will be due to Mrs. Pennington (grade 4 math) or Mrs. Humphrey (grade 5 math) the day after they are assigned. All OTHER homework (Language Arts, Science, Social Studies assignments, etc…) are due on Friday. COWS (Challenges of the Week) are assigned by Mrs. Glynn and are optional. Due dates are noted on these COW papers. All students are encouraged to TRY. Even if you complete only SOME of the problems given, hand it in. Show your best effort. Special assignments (such as book projects or the monthly reading calendar have special due dates. Be sure to know these dates & mark them in your planners.)
